Mónika Arris
Mónika Arris has a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Woman’s University and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas. Mónika joined the Collin County Budget & Finance Department in January 2003. She was appointed Director of Budget & Finance in October 2008. She has served as Co-Chair of the County’s Investment Committee since May 2008.
Mónika has been a member of GFOAT since 2003 and earned her Certified Government Finance Officer designation in 2010. She has previously served as Chair of Membership Committee, North Representative and currently serves as Treasurer. Mónika currently serves as Vice-Chair on the Board of Trustees for Texas CLASS, a local government investment pool. She is also a member of the Alumni Association of Sigma Alpha Iota (International Music Fraternity for Women). When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Anthony and their two daughters, Talia and Sofia.
