Conference Scholarships
The GFOAT Conference Scholarship Program engages the next generation of finance professionals by offering two conference scholarships awarded annually for each Spring Institute and Fall Conference. View more information in our brochure here.

Program:
The Scholarships are for current governmental employees in the financial area who intend to continue to progress professionally in the field of government finance.
Calendar:
GFOAT Spring Institute
- Due February 1, Recipients notified by February 15
GFOAT Fall Conference
- Due October 1, Recipients notified by October 15
Award:
If you are not currently a member of the GFOAT and receive a scholarship, the Scholarship/Fellowship Committee will also provide a one-year membership to GFOAT. GFOAT pays the conference registration fee, lodging, and travel expenses.
Scholarship Information:
Please review the following criteria that will be used in the evaluation process by the Scholarships & Fellowship Committee:
- Completed and signed scholarship application
- An approval letter by your supervisor
- Organizational chart of your employer
- Analysis of your department’s travel budget for the current fiscal year documenting need for assistance
- Resume (optional)
