GENERAL INFORMATION
All sessions do not require prerequisites.
- CPE Credit: You will earn an estimate of 12 hours of CPE credit by attending the entire Spring Conference. GFOAT is a sponsor of continuing professional education with the Texas State Boards of Public Accountancy (TSBPA). State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
- CGFO Credit: You will earn and estimate of 12 hours of CPE credit by attending the entire Spring Conference. GFOAT has final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CGFO credit.

Be sure to download the conference mobile app ahead of time. On the mobile app, you can view the schedule, make a personalized schedule, look up attendees and sponsors. Use the instructions below to download the app before leaving for the conference. Printed programs will not be available.

Meeting Accommodations/Dietary Restrictions
Meeting accommodations requests such as dietary restrictions must be submitted to Lavern Gaines by April 1 to be considered.
Attire
The conference attire is CASUAL so please plan for comfort. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions, in the event the meeting rooms are cold. Feel free to bring your favorite Hawaiian Shirt to wear on Monday.
GFOAT’s Kalahari Mic Drop Social
Warm up those vocal cords and come sing with us!! Hold “Em, Fold Em and ante up or join your friends for your favorite board game. There will be food, drinks and so much fun. All registered attendees are automatically included in the social event. Adult guest tickets are $100. See you there!!!
Texas Hold’em
A donation of $25 to the GFOAT Foundation will be taken at the game.
Bruce Test Semi-Annual Golf Outing

The Forest Creek Golf Club provides hill country golf at its finest. The 7,147-yard par-72 golf course has been nationally recognized as one of the finest public golf courses in Central Texas. Named “Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas” by Golf Digest, Forest Creek offers some of the most fabulous golf in the Texas Hill Country. Our Golf Course is replete with rolling fairways, pristine greens, and an abundance of native foliage.
- Tee time is 1:30 p.m. with a Modify Shotgun Start.
- The cost is $70.00 plus tax per person, which includes the green fee, cart, and range.
- This will be a Texas Scramble (bogey is your friend) and is limited to 58 golfers

REGISTRATION
Registered attendees are automatically included in the evening social event. Adult guest of registered attendees must pay the $100 guest ticket fee.

Sponsor staff is required to register online by March 24 to guarantee a spot at the conference. Please choose the “sponsor comp” option to use your complimentary registrations. The sponsor set up is Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. All preassigned shared sponsor tables will be in the Kalahari Ballroom foyer. Cancellation and Substitution Policy
If you are registered and purchased social event guest tickets and cannot attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $100 cancellation fee will be assessed if written cancellation is not received by March 24. No refunds will be issued after March 24.
HOTEL
Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is located at 3001 Kalahari Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78665. The hotel has extended a $215 per night group rate based on single/double occupancy for the dates of April 13-16. Do not delay as the block can sell out prior to the March 14 cutoff date.
Beware of Housing Poachers
Please be aware of housing poachers if contacted about booking hotel rooms for the 2024 GFOAT Spring Conference. The only GFOAT-endorsed hotel for this event is The Kalahari Resort and Convention Hotel. Please note we are NOT working with any other companies to provide housing. If you receive any pirating emails or calls, please refer them to Lavern Gaines at lavern@tml.org or 512-231-7447.
Letter of Authorization (LOA) and Tax Exempt
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions does not accept Letters of Authorization forms, Tax Exemption forms, or Purchase Orders at the hotel check-in. We have a dedicated team that approves these forms prior to arrival to guarantee validity and ensure billing is setup appropriately. These forms should be submitted no later than 7 days in advanced to us at dellscallcenterfax@kalahariresorts.com or fax them to (608) 254-6116. We highly suggest that attendees submit these forms at minimum two weeks in advanced prior to the hotel check in so our team can process in a timely manner. Failure to follow this procedure may result in full room and tax charges to the attendees on their individual credit cards. Group Instructions on Business Checks
Guests are required to mail the district/school/company check at minimum two (2) weeks prior to arrival (personal checks are not accepted). They are to be sent to Kalahari Round Rock (3001 Kalahari Blvd Round Rock, TX 78665), Attn: Maribeth Galarpe – Finance with reservation confirmation numbers, first/last name, and payment instructions. We welcome prepayment with Purchase Orders as well.
